Music of the Spoken Word

A unique Series of Recordings of the American Experience told in Verse and Music.

PoetsWest and Voyager Recordings have started a series of poetry and music performances on Compact Discs under the PoetsWest label.

Window in the Sky, PoetsWest CD 226

The first CD in this series released under the PoetsWest/Voyager Recordings label features original poetry by J. Glenn Evans, read by the author, Caron McCloud, and Martin Marriott, with original music by Vivian Williams, Award-Winning fiddler, and guitar by Phil Williams. Digitally recorded in stereo.

The thirty-nine poems on the CD are taken from Evans' book by the same title. In this eclectic collection of poems, Evans tells stories about growing up, going to school, moving out West, trying to make ends meet after marrying his girl, the disappointments of love and marriage, being a parent, and aging. He recalls his ventures into a silver mine in Idaho. These vigorous poems are both personal and philosophical. He meets a lot of folks along the way--some crusty, others wise, and a few from another world. He revisits old haunts and recalls moments of pleasure, pain, humor, and spiritual connection.

The CD is $15.00 postpaid in the United States.

The 194-page book retails for $11.95 postpaid in the United States.

Save $6.95 and order both the CD and book at the bargain price of $20.00 postpaid in the United States.
